Responsibilities: 

• Negotiate single voyage and long term ocean contracts  
• Negotiate period and time charter contracts  
• Freight market analysis and coordination with the internal research department  
• Develop and maintain sound working relationships with all major bulk commodity carriers  
• Strategic analysis and growth plan implementation of out of gauge cargo, special project cargo and unique one off items into the Asia Pacific Region  
• Entertain clients, Owners and Charterers when required and appropriate  
• Increasing existing client base  
• Managing Australasian subsidiaries of existing global accounts 

Essential Criteria: 

• Minimum 3 years shipping related experience  
• Tertiary qualifications  
• Strong negotiating skills  
• Ship Chartering/Break Bulk experience would be highly advantageous  
• Natural flair for sales  -  tenacity to drum up new business and the skills to close the deal
